Where to begin

Recently we discovered Mason has osteochondrosis in her right shoulder which has been causing her to limp (and also gain some extra weight since she's been less active). She is not allowed to go for walks anymore and her vet recommended that we take her swimming so that she can get some exercise. She will also be on a prescription diet and pain/anti-inflammatory medicine from now on. She doesn't enjoy taking her medicine, but it really seems to be helping. She's a pretty tough cookie, so we aren't too worried. Luckily, she loves a good swim, but we do have to take a short hike to the lake. It was a rough walk back so next time we are going to try to pull her in Henry's wagon. I laugh just thinking about this.

Henry and Amaya had fun helping Matt give Mason a bath one evening and then snuggled up to watch Harry Potter.

Sunday we went to the Braves game. We actually made it to the ninth inning! It was a record breaking 95 degrees (seriously, record breaking). Fortunately, we thought ahead and purchased tickets we knew would be in the shade, otherwise I don't think we would have made it. We left at the top of the ninth because we were all soaked in sweat, the game was tied and Henry was getting tired. We were glad we got this head start on the crowd because before we even got out of the stadium the Phillies scored another 3 runs.
By the way, the trick to making it through a ball game (if they like the game) with a little one is apparently lots of food. Lots of food. Especially when confined to three seats in the middle of a row, well actually, one seat and two hot, sweaty laps.
Anyway, we all enjoyed ourselves. I don't know how much of the game Matt and I actually saw though. We were reveling in Henry's reactions to taking it all in. He clapped, he cheered (Charge!), he pined after other people's hot dogs and slushies, had his first ballpark dog, and he even did the tomahawk chop. He did us proud.
