biding our time

still hanging in here. the nesting frenzy has settled a bit, just short of rearranging all the furniture in the house. the house is cleaner than it has been since before henry was born though.
still hanging in there
so now i just want to try to relax and enjoy it. i'm sure it will be another couple years before the house is this clean again : )

i'm trying to cram as much knitting as possible into my mornings. henry plays on his own the best in the mornings. he likes to be entertained more in the afternoons, so i'm trying to take advantage of that. some mornings he sits next to me while i knit or even brings my knitting bag to me and tells me to knit. sometimes he likes to pretend he's knitting too.
by my side
typically we enjoy each others company in the morning while relaxing with a little PBS kids and some crazy pirate pretending or dinosaur attacks. today we pretended it was raining in the house and we were stomping in puddles and catching the rain in cups.
henry's imagination play is really becoming a big part of his day and it so much fun to watch and be a part of. anything he needs he just imagines it and he's content. i hope he never loses that.
snail slide

and his new, most often used response to anything is "oh". which can be a bit infuriating at times.
for example, matt or i might say, "henry, you do not throw your plate on the floor!"
henry's response is a laid back, "oh". as if he had no idea.
i hope that is a phase
