we did it!

we are finally pacifier free!



we gave henry fair warning and told him that he had one more day and night with his passy. on the day of the deed, we made a show of it by having him help collect all the passy's in the house (there were more than you might think!) and we put them in a small gift bag. then we wrapped that up in a brown paper bag and had him color on it and say bye bye and then he walked it to the mailbox and put it in there. we told him we were mailing them to babies who need them (bea isn't taking one). and it worked!

he does ask for a passy every so often, but we just ask him if we have any and he says, "no, mail lady." and then he's over it.
he may have some resentment towards people who work for the postal service, but we'll deal with that if the time comes.

it was so much easier than we thought it was going to be. we feel like we should have done this months ago!!
