this boy

he has definite things he likes and dislikes and has no reservations about telling us so. he is mastering the computer at an alarming rate. his run is starting to look less like a toddlers scamper and more like that of a sure-footed boy (minus the sure-footedness). he's really into ants, spiders, and bugs of all kinds, but will not touch them. he loves playing with his action figures and race cars. he flip flops equally between being indiana jones, batman, spiderman, joker, a monster, cooker man (chef) and harry potter. he loves being read to and is starting to 'read' to us. he as an aversion to pants/shorts with zippers. or maybe its a strong inclination towards elastic? he likes his solitude as much as he likes playing with friends. his favorite friend is bea (i hope that feeling never changes). he's a dreamer. he wants an elephant to catch the moon with its trunk and bring it in the house. and he told matt that he wants to be a pilot. he wants to fly a jet.

i'm trying to wrap my brain around the fact that in less than 3 months this boy will be 3 years old! as henry likes to remind us daily, "i grow up, up, up".

he sure is. and its happening much too quickly.
