the fourth

the kids got to experience their first parade. it was fun and interesting. henry had a friend that was in the parade so he got to run out and give her a hug. he liked that, but he wasn't too fond of how loud the parade was. henry was not feeling good though, but he held on as long as he could. he had a fever the day before and we thought it had passed, but were sadly mistaken. by the time we got home his fever was pretty high. an afternoon of napping followed. then a cookout with mimi and a late night movie. we knew fireworks were out of the question because of the not feeling good and the noise. maybe someday!
