bea is getting closer and closer to walking. thank goodness she is toughening up a bit. she's been a rather 'sensitive' girl. she's taking the tumbles pretty well these days though and gets upset at being coddled more than anything (but not always). her favorite form of communicating lately has been pointing and screaming. it's effective. and she says "no, no, no" while shaking her head. that's not always as effective : ) she is starting to demand her space from henry when he's giving her a little too much love. she will be boss - i am sure of it. whether or not the boy accepts that remains to be seen!

henry, the boy who will be 3(!) is in a backwards phase. walking backwards and dressing backwards. the other day it was his shorts, yesterday it was his shirt, today it's his underwear. when i tell him the garment is backwards he tells me he wants to wear it that way. 'nuff said. he's all about movie references and singing soundtracks. mainly popeye. but we like to change the words and customize them. instead of "i'm mean, i'm mean, (he's mean, he's mean)", it's been "i'm two, i'm two (it's true, he's two)". he's excited and a little confused about the big birthday. he wants it to be his birthday right now. really, i think he just means he wants cake right now.
